Amazon sales soar by 55% as 50-inch Fire TV with ‘outstanding features’ gets cut from £650 to £450

AMAZON has just cut prices on its budget-friendly Fire TVs, and there’s one in particular that’s causing quite a stir.

The 50-inch Fire TV Omni QLED has tumbled from £649.99 down to £449.99, and shoppers are rushing to buy it.

I stumbled upon this find on Amazon’s device movers and shakers lineup, where they showcase items which have suddenly soared in popularity.

In just the last 24 hours, sales for this QLED TV have rocketed by 55%.

It seems these sales are taking off because Amazon has slashed prices across all of its Fire TV range, letting you snag the 50-inch Fire TV Omni QLED with a sweet £200 discount.

This model is the star of the Fire range, with 4K Quantum Dot Display technology, making every scene vibrant, with lifelike colours that rival even pricier QLED TVs from leading brands like Samsung.

The comparable Samsung 50-inch Q60D QLED, which normally goes for £700, is currently available for £569 on sale.

But, even at this discounted price, it’s still nearly £220 more expensive than our top choice.

With Amazon tech, you’re getting top-notch features at a fraction of the cost, including the convenience of hands-free control through Alexa.

Simply ask Alexa to discover, start, and manage your entertainment, and stream your favourite shows from Netflix, Disney+, and, naturally, Prime Video.

That being said, it’s not the only player in the voice recognition game. Sky provides a popular alternative.

I’d also recommend diving into my breakdown of the Omni Series versus the 4-Series.

It’s a valuable read to assist you in making an informed decision before committing; especially given the Fire 4-series TVs are also reduced this week.

The 50-inch Omni earns a solid 4.1 out of 5 stars, drawing credit from shoppers for its impressive picture quality, value, and sound.

One happy customer praised the TV’s “outstanding features”, adding, “The picture quality of this TV is exceptional. It boasts vibrant colours and top-notch clarity.”

The same user concluded, “I highly recommend the Amazon QLED Fire TV to anyone who is in the market for a reliable and feature-packed television. It has truly enhanced my home entertainment experience.”

Another wrote, “Fantastic if you mainly use streaming apps to watch TV. The Alexa and Fire OS is very robust and easy to control.”

It’s important to address some of the concerns raised by shoppers, many of whom have pointed out issues with performance glitches and subpar sound quality.

While I can’t speak to the specifics of this model, I’ve personally owned the 32-inch Fire TV 2-Series for over 18 months now.

During my time with the TV, I encountered a glitch in performance only once, when the picture failed to show with the sound. But, I quickly resolved this with the trusty on and off again technique.

Overall, I’m a fan of Amazon’s Fire TVs – they offer excellent value for money given their affordable price points. All the more so when they’re on sale, like right now.
